I need my photos ASAP!

No worries, please let me know this at the time of booking what your deadline is. My advanced delivery charge is $150 + GST/hour of shoot duration.

What on earth is an image license?

As the photographer, I remain the copyright owner of all images I take. An image license determines what you can and can’t do with the images supplied to you by a photographer.

Included in my rate is a basic license to share the images supplied in specified ways (Including but not limited to social media, in eDMs or on your website, my T&Cs will outline this for you). Or I create a custom license for clients with alternative needs like paid advertising or copyright buyout.

This also means that credit to the photographer is always required unless discussed and specified in your license.

I want to share these images with other businesses and split the cost of the shoot.

Only one basic image license is included in my rates and is automatically given to the client I am liaising with. You may have worked with another business on a project and both parties would like to access the suite of images and split the cost of the shoot. Another license will need to be purchased for every additional business that wants to access the images. This will come at a cost of 25% to the invoice per additional business and all involved will need to sign a licensing agreement. Please ask me for more information on this.

Someone else is requesting access to the images… What do I do?

Send them my way. I won’t mind, in fact I will appreciate this very much! This includes if a journalist or publication wants to feature your images captured by me.

If another business also worked on the project and want to access the images (similar to described above) this should also be sent my way as they will need to purchase a license to use the images.

Sending third party requests my way helps me ensure the correct size images are being supplied (so they look their best), stop images from falling into wrong hands or request payment for the images from the third party if appropriate.

Can you just photoshop that?

Ouch. We are all guilty of saying this ( including me). But actually sometimes that photoshop job can take me a really long time. And my rates only cover basic editing and image enhancement. Any images that require extensive care with blending exposures, cleaning up paint jobs or removal/placement of large objects will incur a fee of $100 + GST per image.
