A dream day on Satellite Island

A private island.

Does anything sound more luxurious than that?

One particular private island that I have been dreaming of spending time at is Satellite Island off the coast Bruny Island, Tasmania.

So one day in early Autumn, when photographer Lean Timms opened up an invitation for a very rare day trip to Satellite Island I knew I had to go.

I called up my go-to adventure photographer bestie Taylor Kezia (who took all the portraits of me shared below) and we booked flights and two nights at Gatekeeper’s Lodge for a whirlwind trip to Tassie… just to experience the island for a day.

After a bit of wild weather derailed the island arrival plans, we ventured across the sea a little later than expected and a little bit damp and salty but very very happy indeed.

We had the whole day to explore and eat and drink and it was a little dream come true.

I wasn’t there to take photographs, I truly was there just for the experience. But naturally, at a place as special as this, I couldn’t resist capturing the moments below..
