Riverdale workshop - November 2024

My parents have always been incredibly welcoming people. Anyone is always invited for dinner and bedrooms offered to friends who might need one. I guess you could say this is how I grew up and I like to think I extend the same to anyone who visits my home.

I have come to a point in my career where I find all of my clients welcoming and warm and often find myself in the situation that both my client and I both feel grateful to be working together. It is a lovely feeling, and is something I have worked towards facilitating.

The first time I stayed at Riverdale in Albany, Western Australia, in May 2022 I knew I would go back one day. Helen and Jim remind me a lot of my parents, in many ways - in both their kind hearts and interests!.

And so this year I was drawn back to the south-west of WA to stay three nights and this visit was just the same. Helen fed me, produced beautiful moments for me to capture and worked tirelessly to help make our workshop in mid-November 2024 to be an inspiring experience for all our guests.

I had such a ball with Helen, Jim and Mallee (their 2 year old Golden Retriever) and I look forward to my next visit to Riverdale. I am forever grateful to know this family and their beautiful property.

Thanks so much for our workshop attendees, you made it such a beautiful afternoon and I look forward to doing it again some day.

The lovely photos above are by Julia Rau who attended our workshop!

And the below iamges are a handful I took throughout Helen’s floral session.
