Wildflower notions in Yuraygir National Park

Is there a notion more romantic than wildflowers?

My favourite place to be come springtime is in Yuraygir National Park, New South Wales. I visit whenever I am in Yamba

A low heathland habitat gifts extensive views from hilltops, from the sea to the east and across lakes to the west.

This particular trail, shown to me by brother Daniel, is a favourite.

I feel at home as I wander along the sandy path, engulfed by the landscape and I can lightly trace the petals with my fingers as I go.

The only souls encountered are often just the honeyeaters trilling and cicadas beginning a low hum, as the sun sets on another day.
